Who we are
This website is operated by Dr. Vinod Singaravelu, a GMC-registered Consultant Psychiatrist practising privately in the United Kingdom. Our contact email is enquiries@vinodsingaravelu.com.
What data we collect
When you use the contact form on this website, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Your phone number (if provided)
- The subject and content of your message
We do not collect sensitive clinical information via the website contact form. Clinical records are managed separately by the clinic Dr. Singaravelu works in and in line with national standards. Please refer to that clinic’s privacy policy.
How we use your data
Your data is used solely to respond to your enquiry and, where applicable, to manage your care. We do not sell, share, or use your data for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
Data retention
Enquiry data is retained for up to 12 months unless a clinical relationship is established, in which case data is retained in line with NHS and professional guidelines.
Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data (subject to legal obligations)
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

Cancellation Policy
We understand that circumstances change. The following cancellation policy applies to all private appointments:
- More than 48 hours notice: Full refund or rescheduling at no charge.
- 24–48 hours notice: 50% of the consultation fee is charged.
- Less than 24 hours notice or DNA (Did Not Attend): The full consultation fee is charged.
Cancellations must be made by emailing enquiries@vinodsingaravelu.com. We reserve the right to waive the cancellation fee in exceptional circumstances.
Confidentiality Policy
Information shared with Dr. Singaravelu will be shared with the clinic admin and the private clinic where he offers his appointment to facilitate registration and booking to support your care. All consultations are strictly confidential. Information shared with Dr. Singaravelu will not be disclosed to any third party without your explicit consent, except in the following limited circumstances required by law or professional duty:
- Where there is a serious risk of harm to you or others
- Where there is a safeguarding concern involving a child or vulnerable adult
- Where disclosure is required by a court of law
Wherever possible, any disclosure will be discussed with you first. Dr. Singaravelu adheres to the GMC's Confidentiality guidance.
